A sensor is a type of Transducer that can be used to determine certain property of an object. For example the Temperature sensors are used to determine the temperature of the atmosphere.
There are other types of sensors used to determine the water level of a water tank. In this type of sensors the sensor determines the distance between the water level ands the sensor and display the output to the programmable logic controller.
